It's Friday, which means it's time for yet another Let's Talk Bookish post courtesy of Book Nook Bits and Dinipanda Reads and today's topic is immersive reading.

Immersive reading is when you simultaneously listen to an audiobook while reading the physical or digital book. Do you do any immersive reading? Do you prefer it or is it not for you? Do you think it’s a good way to get everything from a book? Is there a genre that is better to do this with? What are your recommendations for immersive reading?
I've never done any immersive reading, as the only times I reach for audio is when I have a migraine and can't read due to being a space cadet with with blurry vision. I have no issues with people doing immersive reading, but it's just not for me as I prefer "regular" reading over audio books (no hate towards audio books as I sometimes listen to them myself).
I'm not sure what genres would be most suitable for immersive reading, but perhaps either fantasy or romance? Regardless of genre, if the audio book narrator is crap, it ruins it a bit.
