Let's Talk Bookish; How I Decide My Yearly Reading Goals

It's Friday, which means it's time for yet another Let's Talk Bookish post courtesy of Book Nook Bits and Dinipanda Reads and today's topic is how I decide my yearly reading goals.

Here's the further prompts for today's discussion.
Do you set annual reading and/or blogging goals? Have you decided on any bookish/blogging resolutions for 2026? How do you decide what goals you want to pursue for the year ahead?
For the last few years, my main reading goal has been reading at least 100 books a year, which will continue next year. I'm also hosting a classics reading challenge for next year, so I'll obviously pick up a few classics to read.

I'm trying to be a bit laidback when it comes to my reading goals (keyword here is of course "trying"), but when it comes to setting goals, I'm often on the lookout for reading challenges that would be up my alley, so I have a bit of a focus when it comes to genres, topics, or whatever. Basically sort of have a deep-dive into something.
