2026 Poetry Reading Challenge

Even though I'm already hosting one reading challenge for next year, which is the 2026 Classics Reading Challenge, I also wanted to create and host a poetry reading challenge for next year.

It's partially due the fact I get the impression fewer and fewer people read poetry these days, so I wanted to create this challenge in a hope I might inspire some people to pick up a poetry collection or a poetry anthology of their choice. As with the whole there's a book for every reader, I think there's a poetry collection or poet out there for every reader too. There's after all more poets out there, than those we were forced to read/study while at school.

I'm not going to create any prompts, levels, sign-ups or anything like that, but feel free to share on social media like Instagram or TikTok about your progress, using the hashtag #BibliophilePoetryChallenge2026 The only rule so to speak, is to actually read an entire poetry collection or an anthology. You're of course totally allowed to read as many poetry collections and anthologies as you want. The bare minimum is reading one.
