2026 Hidden Gems Reading Challenge

While it's totally okay to read and enjoy popular and hyped books, those hidden gems and underrated books can sometimes be forgotten, especially with all the buzz over on social media such as BookTok, BookTube, and Bookstagram.

So to counteract that a bit, and thus highlight those underappreciated books, I decided to create and host a Hidden Gems Reading Challenge. The challenge is as simple (or as difficult) as this - read and review/highlight/talk about those hidden gems so that more people can discover them. Unsure if a book is a hidden gem or not? How many ratings a certein book has on Goodreads might be an indicator. If it has less than 5000, or for that matter, 2000 ratings, it probably qualify. Also, feel free to use the hastag #bibliophilehiddengemschallenge on social media like TikTok and Instagram if you want.

I'm not going to make any levels, sign-ups, and what-not. Feel free to read as many books as you want. The main goal is to switch things up a bit as I'm sure there's plenty of authors who wish more people read their books.
