It's Friday, which means it's perhaps time for another Let's Talk Bookish post courtesy of Book Nook Bits and Dinipanda Reads, and today's topic is end-of-year reading goals.
Here's the further prompts for today's discussion.
What books do you want to read before the end of the year? Are there any new releases you’re still looking forward to? What goals did you set at the beginning of the year? Have you changed or added to those goals?
As I'm one who struggle to keep up with new releases, I'm sure there's a few I'd like to read, but I have no idea when I'll get to them. It's after all not a competition on reading as many new releases as possible. There's a few random titles in my TBR shelves I want to read though, such as The Road by Cormac McCarthy and Waiting for the Barbarians by J. M. Coetzee, but we'll see what I end up reading.
In the beginning of 2025, I had originally planned to read at least 200 books, as well as participating in some genre-based reading challenges, but I had to give up on the majority of those plans. I've managed to read 164 booksso far this year though, and almost accomplished the non-fiction reading challenge I participated in, so I can't really complain really. I think I basically overestimated how much I would enjoy those genre-based challenges.
